The early church was evangelistic. When the persecution began in Jerusalem with the murder of James, the Christians spread out. But instead of going into hiding, they began to preach and teach about Jesus and His church in the places that they fled to. Phillip did this in Samaria, and the Christians who fled to Damascus began teaching and preaching there. This resulted in Saul of Tarsus being issued an arrest warrant to go there and bring them back to Jerusalem for trial. Instead, he met Jesus on the road near Damascus and became one of the most prolific evangelist of the early church. He became known as the Apostle Paul and is resposible for writing a majority of the books in the New Testament
At the church of Christ at Wasilla, we are looking at opportunities to spread the gospel in the Mat-Su Valley. We have a regular radio program from 9:00 to 9:30 each Sunday mornings on KMBQ radio. In addition to that we host a series of three one minute spots, called "Daily Minuet for God" six days a week on KMBQ radio. We are currently investigating the possibilities of renting a storefront in one of the local strip malls to host public walk in bible studies. And we are looking at the posibility of establishing a church at Willow.
If you want to be a part of an evangelistic and active chruch, visit us and lets evangelisch the Mat-Su Valley together!
