Evangelism

The early church was evangelistic.  When the persecution began in Jerusalem with the murder of James, the Christians spread out.  But instead of going into hiding, they began to preach and teach about Jesus and His church in the places that they fled to.  Phillip did this in Samaria, and the Christians who fled to Damascus began teaching and preaching there.  This resulted in Saul of Tarsus being issued an arrest warrant to go there and bring them back to Jerusalem for trial.  Instead, he met Jesus on the road near Damascus and became one of the most prolific evangelist of the early church.  He became known as the Apostle Paul and is resposible for writing a majority of the books in the New Testament

At the church of Christ at Wasilla, we are looking at opportunities to spread the gospel in the Mat-Su Valley.  We have a regular radio program from 9:00 to 9:30 each Sunday morning on KMBQ radio.  Our efforts to rent a store front for walk in Bible studies is on hold because of the COVID 19 Pademic, however we are still looking for a meeting location in Willow.  We use a publication called "House to House, Heart to Heart" which is a direct mail effort.  We are looking at other direct mail efforts to introduce ourselves to families and invite them to visit with us.  In addition we use door knocking campagins from time to time.

If you want to be a part of an evangelistic and active chruch, visit us and lets evangelize the Mat-Su Valley together!
